Privacy policy

The Southern California Pickleball League runs socalpl.com. We collect only what we need to organize the league, we do not sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

What we collect

• When you register interest: your name, email, the club you prefer, your skill level, how many players you are bringing, and anything you write in the notes box.
• When you create a player account: your email, name, phone number, rating, shirt size, and gender. Gender is used only to apply the lineup rules for men's, women's, and mixed doubles.
• When you play: your club, the lineups your captain submits, and match scores.
• When you email or message us: whatever you send.

We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.

How we use it

• To place players with clubs and build rosters.
• To schedule fixtures, record results, and publish the division tables.
• To contact you about the league, such as schedules, changes, and sign-in links.
• To collect fees once registration opens.

Who can see it

• The public: club names, fixtures, scores, and tables.
• Your club captain: the profile details of players on their own roster, so they can organize the team.
• The league: everything listed above.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with sponsors.

Services we rely on

These companies process information for us so the site can work. Each handles it under its own privacy terms.

• Supabase: stores the league database and handles sign-in.
• Google Workspace: our email.
• GitHub Pages: hosts the website and, like any web host, logs visitor IP addresses.
• Google Fonts and jsDelivr: deliver fonts and code to your browser, which means they receive your IP address when a page loads.
• Stripe: will process fee payments once registration opens. We never see or store your card number.

What is stored on your device

If you sign in, your browser keeps you signed in and remembers the last few email addresses used to sign in on that device. Clearing your browser's site data removes both.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you are involved with the league. If you ask us to delete it, we will, except for match results that are part of the league's record, which stay without your contact details.

Your choices

Email hello@socalpl.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can also stop league emails at any time by replying and asking.

Adults only

The league is for players 18 and over. The site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a minor has registered, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
